AI content information
My name is Neil. I'm a real, live American who was born in Philadelphia.
I promise you: I wrote every word on this site myself, without using any AI tools to write any text content.
In addition to text, the site contains images and other graphics. I used AI tools to custom-design most of the images and graphics for this site.
The em dash—don't be fooled
There's talk online that seeing an em dash—that long dash you just saw in red and are about to see again except it will be green—means an AI tool generated the text.
Nonsense.
That's like saying that all cars have four wheels, so if it has four wheels, it must be a car.
Why do AI tools and chatbots use em dashes? Because they read huge amounts of human writing, which...wait for it...contains em dashes.
Em dashes can be the perfect punctuation mark to make a point concisely and clearly. I'm not going to stop using them—no matter what anybody thinks.
Should I say it again? Yes, I should: I wrote every single word on this site myself without the help of any AI tools.
